Folding Box Board
We use Food Grade FBB that is sourced from sustainable plantations, is both bio degradeable and 100% recyclable. This material is produced in Europe and our suppliers offer us next day delivery from UK stock.
This material not only meets food grade specifications but is guaranteed to meet the exacting requirements of traceability for quality to ensure it complies with child labour and modern day slavery standards.
RPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate)
This material is used for our clear lids, clear sleeves and cartons.
As with FBB this material not only meets food grade specifications but it is guaranteed to meet the exacting requirements of traceability for quality to ensure it complies with child labour and modern day slavery standards.
It contains a minimum of 60% post consumer waste (recycled content), is 100% recyclable.
BIO PET
As an alternative to RPET we have considered the use of BIO PET. BIO PET: This material is both recyclable and Bio Degradable.
It contains a minimum of 30% sugar cane derivative. This is excellent news but there are currently considerable concerns with BIO PET in that much of the sugar cane derivative is produced in Asia and there are issues regarding traceability which have given rise to many companies opting to delay use of BIO PET in order not to have conflicts with child labour or modern day slavery policies.
We will not use BIO PET until such time as both we and our customers can be certain that traceability exists and child labour and modern day slavery standards are not compromised.
